Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

English Church Defense Tracts, No. 1: Roman Misquotations (1872) is a book written by Henry Parry Liddon. The book is part of a series of tracts that were published in the 19th century to defend the Church of England against the Roman Catholic Church. In this particular tract, Liddon addresses what he believes to be misquotations of scripture by the Roman Catholic Church. He argues that these misquotations are used to support Catholic doctrines that are not actually supported by the Bible. Liddon provides examples of these misquotations and explains why they are incorrect. The book is written in a scholarly style and is intended for those interested in theological debates between the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church. Also Includes No. 2, Are Clergymen Of The English Church Rightly Ordained?; No. 3, Papal Infallibility; And No. 4, More About Roman Misquotations. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
