English Derived From Hebrew: With Glances At Greek And Latin is a book written by Robert Govett and published in 1869. The book explores the origins of the English language and argues that it is primarily derived from Hebrew, with influences from Greek and Latin. Govett provides examples of English words and their Hebrew roots, as well as discussing the grammar and syntax of both languages. He also examines the role of Greek and Latin in shaping the English language, particularly in terms of vocabulary. The book is aimed at scholars and linguists interested in the history and development of the English language, as well as those interested in the connections between different languages. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
