It is a collection of plays from the medieval times that were performed in England during the 15th and 16th centuries. The book includes a variety of plays ranging from religious dramas to secular comedies. The plays were performed by guilds and were often based on biblical stories, such as the Nativity and the Crucifixion of Jesus. They were performed in public spaces, such as town squares and marketplaces, and were intended to educate the public about Christianity. The book also includes moralities, which were plays that featured allegorical characters representing virtues and vices. These plays were intended to teach moral lessons to the audience. Moore's book provides an insight into the culture and society of medieval England, as well as the development of drama during that time.
