Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Hearts and Voices: The Only Musical Instruments of the New Testament Church"" is a book written by Alexander M. Bannatyne in 1857. The book explores the use of music in the New Testament Church and argues that the only musical instruments used by the early Christians were their hearts and voices. Bannatyne draws on biblical passages and historical evidence to support his claim that instrumental music was not used in Christian worship until much later in history. The book also delves into the history of music in the Church, discussing the introduction of instruments and the controversies surrounding their use. Overall, ""Hearts and Voices"" provides a unique perspective on the role of music in Christian worship and offers insights into the early history of the Church. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
