Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The book ""Report Of The Commission For The Investigation Of The White Slave Traffic, So Called (1914)"" is a historical document that details the findings of a commission set up to investigate the so-called ""white slave traffic"" in the early 20th century. The commission was led by Walter Elmore Fernald and included several other prominent figures of the time. The book provides a comprehensive account of the commission's investigation, including interviews with witnesses, statistics on the extent of the problem, and recommendations for how to combat it. The term ""white slave traffic"" refers to the trafficking of women for the purposes of prostitution, and the commission's report sheds light on the scale and severity of this issue in the early 1900s. The book is an important historical document that provides insight into the social and political climate of the time and the efforts to combat this form of exploitation.Edwin Mulready Also Served As A Member Of The Commission. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
