Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In And Out Of Andersonville Prison is a historical non-fiction book written by William Franklin Lyon and first published in 1905. The book is a personal account of Lyon's experiences as a Union soldier during the American Civil War and his imprisonment at Andersonville, a Confederate prisoner of war camp in Georgia. Lyon provides a vivid and detailed description of the conditions in the camp, including the overcrowding, lack of food and water, disease, and brutal treatment by the Confederate guards. The book also chronicles Lyon's escape from Andersonville and his subsequent recapture and imprisonment at other Confederate prison camps. Through his personal narrative, Lyon sheds light on the horrors of war and the inhumane treatment of prisoners during this dark period in American history. The book is a valuable primary source for historians and anyone interested in the Civil War and the experiences of prisoners of war. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
