Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Preacher and Prayer is a book written by Edward McKendree Bounds in 1907. The book is a collection of essays on the importance of prayer in the life of a preacher. Bounds, a Methodist minister and author, argues that prayer is essential for effective preaching and that preachers should prioritize prayer in their daily lives. The book is divided into several sections, each focusing on a different aspect of prayer and preaching. Bounds begins by discussing the importance of personal prayer and the need for preachers to cultivate a deep and abiding relationship with God. He then goes on to explore the role of prayer in preaching, arguing that it is through prayer that preachers are able to connect with their congregations and communicate the message of the gospel effectively.Throughout the book, Bounds draws on examples from the lives of great preachers such as John Wesley and Charles Spurgeon, as well as from his own experiences as a minister. He also provides practical advice on how to develop a strong prayer life, including tips on how to pray effectively and how to make time for prayer in a busy schedule.Overall, Preacher and Prayer is a timeless classic that continues to inspire and challenge preachers today. It is a must-read for anyone who is serious about their calling as a preacher and who desires to see the power of God at work in their ministry. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
