Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Modern American Bible: Mark (1899) is a book written by Frank Schell Ballentine. It is a modern translation of the Gospel of Mark, one of the four canonical gospels in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. The book was first published in 1899 and is considered a classic of American Biblical scholarship. The translation is written in modern American English and is intended to be accessible to contemporary readers. Ballentine sought to capture the spirit and meaning of the original text while also making it relevant to the concerns and issues of his own time. The Gospel of Mark is believed to have been written in the first century AD and is the shortest of the four gospels. It tells the story of Jesus of Nazareth, his teachings, miracles, and eventual crucifixion and resurrection. The book is divided into 16 chapters and covers the period from Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist to his ascension into heaven. The Modern American Bible: Mark (1899) is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the Bible, Christian theology, or the history of American religious thought. It is a testament to the enduring power of the gospel message and the ongoing relevance of the Bible in contemporary life. The Books Of The Bible In Modern American Form And Phrase, With Introduction And Notes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
