Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Political Speeches in Scotland: November and December, 1879"" is a book written by William Ewart Gladstone, a prominent British statesman and four-time Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The book is a collection of speeches that Gladstone delivered during his tour of Scotland in 1879, where he campaigned for the Liberal Party. The speeches cover a range of political topics, including land reform, education, and the Irish Question. Gladstone's oratory skills are on full display as he passionately argues for his party's policies and criticizes the Conservative Party's approach to governance. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the political climate of Scotland in the late 19th century, as well as the political views and tactics of one of the most influential British politicians of the time. It is a valuable resource for historians, political scientists, and anyone interested in the history of British politics. With An Appendix Containing The Rectorial Address In Glasgow, And Other Non-Political Speeches. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
