Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Bettesworth Book: Talks With A Surrey Peasant is a book written by George Bourne in 1901. The book is a collection of conversations that Bourne had with a peasant named Bettesworth, who lived in Surrey, England. The conversations cover a wide range of topics, including the history and customs of the area, the lives of the rural poor, and the challenges facing farmers and laborers in the late 19th century. Bettesworth provides a unique perspective on these issues, drawing on his own experiences as a laborer and his knowledge of the local community. Bourne's book offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of working-class people in rural England at the turn of the 20th century, and provides valuable insights into the social and economic conditions of the time. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
