Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""Lectures On The Prophecies: Proving The Divine Origin Of Christianity"" is a book written by Alexander McCaul and first published in 1846. The book is a collection of lectures that McCaul gave at St. Mary's Church in Oxford, England, in which he argues that the prophecies found in the Old Testament point to the coming of Jesus Christ and provide evidence for the divine origin of Christianity.McCaul begins by discussing the nature of prophecy and its role in the Old Testament. He then examines specific prophecies, including those found in the Psalms, Isaiah, and Daniel, and shows how they are fulfilled in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.Throughout the book, McCaul emphasizes the importance of understanding the historical context in which the prophecies were written and how they were understood by the original audience. He also addresses objections to his argument and provides responses to common criticisms.Overall, ""Lectures On The Prophecies"" is a detailed and scholarly examination of the relationship between prophecy and Christianity, and it remains an important work in the field of biblical studies. Also Contains The Messiahship Of Jesus: The Concluding Series Of The Twelve Lectures On The Prophecies. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
