Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Metaphysics or The Philosophy of Consciousness: Phenomenal and Real is a book written by Henry Longueville Mansel in 1860. The book explores the nature of consciousness and its relation to reality through the lens of metaphysics. Mansel argues that consciousness is the foundation of all knowledge and that our perception of reality is limited by our own consciousness. He also delves into the concept of the phenomenal and the real, arguing that the phenomenal is the appearance of things as they appear to us, while the real is the essence of things as they truly are. Mansel's work is highly influential in the field of metaphysics and is considered a classic in the study of consciousness and reality. The book is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to both scholars and general readers interested in philosophy. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
