Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Unemployables is a novel written by Edmond Kelly and published in 1907. The book tells the story of a group of men who are unable to find work and are forced to live on the streets of New York City. The main character, Tom Lacy, is a former journalist who has fallen on hard times and is now living in poverty. He meets a group of other unemployed men, including a former lawyer, a failed businessman, and a disgraced politician. Together, they form a community and try to survive in a world that has no use for them. The book explores themes of poverty, unemployment, and the struggle for survival in a capitalist society. It also offers a critique of the American Dream and the idea that anyone can achieve success through hard work and determination. Overall, The Unemployables is a powerful and moving portrayal of the lives of those who are left behind by society. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
