Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Norsk Nightingale: Being The Lyrics Of A Lumberyack is a book written by William Frederick Kirk and published in 1905. The book comprises a collection of songs and poems that were popular among the lumberjacks of northern Minnesota in the late 19th century. The songs and poems are written in English, but they are heavily influenced by Norwegian culture and language, reflecting the strong presence of Norwegian immigrants in the region at the time. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives and culture of these hardworking lumberjacks, who spent long hours in the forests felling trees and hauling logs. The songs and poems are full of humor, wit, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the region. The book is a valuable historical document that sheds light on a little-known aspect of American culture and history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
