Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The History of Jane Grey, Queen of England: With a Defense of Her Claim to the Crown"" is a book written by Thomas Wilkins in 1792. The book provides a detailed account of the life and reign of Lady Jane Grey, who was proclaimed Queen of England for a brief period of nine days in 1553. Wilkins argues in defense of Jane's claim to the crown, which was disputed by Mary Tudor, who eventually succeeded her as the Queen of England. The book covers Jane's early life, her education, and her marriage to Lord Guildford Dudley, as well as the political and religious turmoil of the era that led to her brief reign. Wilkins also provides an analysis of Jane's character, her religious beliefs, and her role in the Protestant Reformation. The book is an important historical account of one of the most intriguing and tragic figures in English history, and it sheds light on the political and religious struggles of the Tudor era. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
