Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Empire of the Nairs V3: Or The Rights of Women, An Utopian Romance is a novel written by James Lawrence and published in 1811. The book is set in an imaginary utopian society called the Empire of the Nairs, where women hold the highest positions of power and men are subservient to them. The story follows the life of a young woman named Zulima, who rises to become the Empress of the Nairs and faces various challenges in her quest to maintain the rights of women in her society. Along the way, she encounters love, betrayal, and political intrigue, all while navigating the complex power dynamics of her world. The book is a reflection on gender roles and the potential for a society that values the rights of women above all else. It is a thought-provoking work that challenges traditional notions of gender and power, and remains relevant to contemporary discussions on feminism and gender equality. In Four Volumes. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
