Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""The Problem of Human Destiny: Or The End of Providence in the World and Man"" is a philosophical work published in 1864 by Orville Dewey. The book explores the concept of destiny and the role of providence in the world and in human life. Dewey argues that the traditional view of providence as a guiding force in human affairs is no longer tenable, given the advances in science and the growing awareness of the vastness and complexity of the universe. He suggests that human destiny is shaped by a combination of natural laws, human agency, and chance, and that the ultimate end of human life is not predetermined but rather open to human choice and action. The book is a thoughtful and thought-provoking exploration of some of the most fundamental questions about human existence and the nature of the universe.""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
