Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The Story of the Universities' Mission to Central Africa is a historical account of the establishment and eventual withdrawal of the mission from the Zambesi region of Africa. Written by Henry Rowley, the book chronicles the mission's inception under Bishop Mackenzie, who sought to spread Christianity and education to the interior of Africa. The book details the challenges faced by the mission, including disease, hostile tribes, and limited resources. Despite these obstacles, the mission was able to establish schools, churches, and hospitals throughout the region. However, due to political and financial difficulties, the mission was eventually forced to withdraw from the area. The book provides a detailed and informative account of the mission's history, including the successes and failures of its efforts to bring education and Christianity to Central Africa. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
