""Thoughts On Present Church Troubles"" is a book written by Henry Parry Liddon, a prominent theologian and Anglican priest. The book is a collection of four sermons that were delivered by Liddon in St. Paul's Cathedral in December 1880. The sermons address the issues and challenges that the Church of England was facing at the time, including the rise of secularism and skepticism, the decline of religious fervor, and the controversy surrounding the Oxford Movement. Liddon offers his thoughts and insights on these issues, drawing on his knowledge of theology and his experience as a priest. He argues that the Church needs to adapt to the changing times while remaining true to its core beliefs and values. The book provides a fascinating glimpse into the religious and social climate of Victorian England and offers valuable insights into the challenges faced by the Church of England at that time.
