Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Within A Circle is a novel written by Emily Marion Harris and published in 1880. The story follows the lives of two young women, Constance and Edith, who are childhood friends and now live together in London. Constance is a talented artist, while Edith is more practical and responsible. When Constance falls in love with a handsome and wealthy man named Everard, Edith is happy for her friend but also worried about the potential consequences of their relationship. As the story unfolds, the two women navigate the complexities of love, friendship, and societal expectations in Victorian England. Along the way, they encounter a cast of memorable characters, including a mysterious woman named Madame Frabelle and a charming but unreliable man named Guy. Ultimately, Within A Circle is a thought-provoking exploration of the choices women faced in the 19th century and the ways in which their lives were shaped by the expectations of others. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
