Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

""A Hundred New Acrostics on Old Subjects"" is a book of poetry published in 1867. The poems are acrostics, meaning that the first letter of each line spells out a word or phrase. The subjects of the poems are old, familiar topics such as love, nature, and religion. The book is unique in that it was written by two poor women, whose identities are unknown. Despite their lack of resources, the women were able to create a collection of thoughtful and creative poems that offer a fresh perspective on traditional themes. The book is a testament to the power of creativity and the ability of anyone, regardless of their background, to produce meaningful art. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
