Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

A Visit to Uncle Tom's Cabin is a book written by Daniel B. Corley and published in 1892. The book is a travelogue that describes the author's visit to the real-life plantation that inspired Harriet Beecher Stowe's famous novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin. Corley's visit to the plantation takes place several years after the Civil War, and he provides a detailed account of the conditions on the plantation at that time. He also describes his interactions with the former slaves who still live on the plantation, as well as his observations of the local culture and customs. The book provides a unique perspective on the legacy of slavery in the United States, and offers valuable insights into the social and cultural history of the American South in the late 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
