Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

The first half of his life was not faithful nor could it be called spiritual, that is, until he started to see the fallacy of his old beliefs-beliefs about everything he knew-or thought he knew about his world. Words of wisdom began to emerge in unusual ways and from a most unlikely source.David Duncan lived three years longer than doctors predicted, but the cancer had suddenly overtaken his body, and he urgently needed to fulfill a promise, made several years before, to his ten-year-old grandson, Ryan.Gold stars, root beer, rainbow trout, and their own special handshake forged an unbreakable bond, but only David knew that his grandson was a Crystal child. David shared the same gift and made a promise to unveil its secrets to the boy, and pass on the legacy. Now, nestled beside his grandpa's hospital bed, unaware of what he is about to hear and the gift he is about to receive, young Ryan eagerly awaits the story of his grandfather's quest for meaning, purpose, understanding of himself and this world, and his gift. Will David live to fulfill his promise?Passing the Torch to his Crystal Grandson.
