Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

In his epistle to the Romans, the apostle Paul stated, "For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope" (Romans 15:4). When he wrote these words, he spoke of the Torah and other writings that would come to be known as the Old Testament. Unfortunately, for many readers, reading and understanding the Old Testament can be a challenge. Beyond the most commonly known stories, we may wonder whether events that happened thousands of years ago relate to us today. Nearly 400 years after Moses led the twelve tribes of Israel out of Egypt, the people demanded a king. Kings ruled the kingdom of Judah for more than 300 years until it was conquered by the Babylonians in 587 BCE. This book makes the history of Judah's kings more accessible by- Providing specific details about each king's reign- Telling their stories in contemporary, easy-to-understand language- Applying their experiences to our own lives through the words of modern-day prophets and apostles and other valuable resourcesThe Old Testament is as relevant today as it was in ancient times, and by understanding the lives of Judah's kings, we can better live as God's people in the latter days.
