Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

When Mary Margaret Masters inherits an antebellum home in another state, her well-ordered, hectic life is in for some analysis and an awakening to her own needs. Unprepared to acknowledge that her life is less than perfect, this is the story of one woman who, in her fifties, believing her life is all it should be, is confronted with the reality that her own interests have been put aside too long. Suddenly she has the opportunity to make major changes. How she deals with love, obligation, commitment, loyalty, guilt, and the insecurity a new direction for her life would bring records the story of her courageous transition from who she thinks she is to who she actually is. Set in a spell-bindingly beautiful antebellum home, its magnificent grounds, and the historic beauty of Charleston's Ashley River Road, she must finally and conclusively decide what must be done about the future of Myrtlewood and what must be done about her own life. This novel is about choices and about unexpected transitions.
