Kurzbeschreibung des Verlags

Fairy tales are significant in inter-cultural teaching and are centered on humor, bravery, strategy, family, leadership, governance and morals. It instills culture, experience, values, knowledge, wisdom, feelings and attitudes into children in a very entertaining way. Storytelling does not only entertain but in every reaction which the child has for distress or humor in the tale, he deposits another layer of vicarious experience which sets his character more firmly in the mould of right or wrong attitude. Every sympathy, every aversion helps to set the impulsive currents of his life, and to give direction to his personality. This is the purpose and all about this book. This book contains simple and humorous tales involving the complexity in animal relationship centered on an animal called "Tortoise". Tortoise who is a symbol of bravery, treachery and wisdom, knows how to defend himself and his family even though he is small. The themes, values, narrative structures, plots, images, metaphors, rhythms, artistic and ethnical principles in this book are very easy to understand. It speaks to the very heart and soul of the child and elaborates what so many parents and teachers spend hours trying to cover up or avoid. These fairy tales confirm what the child has been thinking all along- that there is a world full of challenges awaiting him/her out there. Out of the wisdom of one who knows both storytelling and children, and who holds a thoughtful grasp on educational purpose, I offer these volumes of unusually helpful Story Books. My name is Josiah C. Samuel.
