(to accompany Div. order 74).The diary opens at Aldershot on 4 August 1914. 1914 is spent at Aldershot, Thieshouk, Villers, Neuve Eglise and Longmoor. 1915 at Esquelbecq, Thieshouk, Vlamertinghe, Samer and Abbaye de Woestine. 1916 at Samer, Fricourt, In Billets Samer, Letoquoi Samer and Doudeauville. 1917 at Doudeauville, Busnes, Merville, Samer and Hdqtrs Letoquoi Amm Coln Clenleu. 1918 at Horrem, Tertry, Beauval, Small Foot Wood and Le Cauroy. 1919 at Quadrath, Modrath, Millendorf and Mudrath. It closes at Quadrath on 31 August 1919. Samer is where it spent longest, 415 days across thirty separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 150 days at Aldershot.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Small Foot Wood, Cramaye Farm, via Oulchy Le Chateau Servenay, Farm near Messines and Romer Farm.In 1914 it is also recorded at Southampton, Boulogne, Jeumont Aibes, Berelles, Aibes, Givry Cross road 1/2m S.E. in Village, Quievrain, Elouges, Audregnies and Halte at Onnezies. In 1915 it is also recorded at Thieshouk Ypres, Ypres, Hondeghem, Staple, Elverdinghe, Woesten, Watou, Near Ypres, Near Vlamertinghe and Cassel. In 1916 it is also recorded at Philosophe, La Philosophe, Clear, Stormy but Fine, Fine, Rainy and Dull, Annezin Snow and Bitter Wind, Letoquoi Sunless & Frosty, Le Tocquoi and Hardelot. In 1917 it is also recorded at H.Q. Letoquoi Samer ammn coln Clenleu, Quilen, Clenleu, Siracourt, Wavrans, Frevin Capelle, Hermaville, Louez, St. Nicholas and Bois d'Habarcq.
