Appendix B.The diary opens at Tidworth on 4 August 1914. 1914 is spent at Tidworth, Maliere-Andrecies-Angre-Andrecies-Reuesnes, Obrechies, Harmignies-Thulin and Flavy-Leplessis. 1915 at Wormhoudt, Parenty, Ouve-Wirquin and Rely. 1916 at Parenty, Incheville, Berteaucourt, Pont Noyelles and Querrieu. 1917 at Robecq, Samer, Parenty, Fressin and Bray. 1918 is the most travelled year, 72 places against 33 in the next busiest, and is spent at Courcelles, Maintenay, Laires, Lindenthal and Orville. 1919 at Lindenthal and Cologne. It closes at Cologne on 31 March 1919. Parenty is where it spent longest, 369 days across fifteen separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Wormhoudt.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Estruvalle Chateau, Dug-out E. of Ypres, Dug-out W. of Bellewaarde Lake and Lievin and Trenches W of Loos.In 1914 it is also recorded at Tidworth & Southampton, Southampton-Boulogne, Boulogne Rest Camp, Boulogne-Jeument, Harmignies, Savy, Ourscamp, Vieux-Moulin and Gournay. In 1915 it is also recorded at Wallon-Cappel, Vlamertinghe, Godewaersvelde, West of Ypres, W. of Ypres, Potijze, Dug-out E. of Ypres, Dug-out W. of Bellewaarde Lake, Wizernes and Honenghem. In 1916 it is also recorded at Labroyle, Mezerolles, Berteaucourt-Les Dames, Tailly, Treux, Pont Remy, Airaines, Daours, Carnoy and La Neuville. In 1917 it is also recorded at Fruges, Conteville, St Laurent Blagny, Frevin Capelle, Aubremetz, Bomy, St Hilaire, Bully-Grenay, Petit-Sains & Fosse 10 and Lievin and Trenches W of Loos. In 1918 it is also recorded at Le Mesnil, Devise, Prusle, Morchain, Curchy, Cappy, Cerisy, Bussy-Les-Daours, Sailly-Le-Sec and Sailly-Laurette.
