Distribution; Operation order Distribution; Translation of a German Division order Regarding the improvement of first Line Defences; Report on the part taken by the 2nd Cavalry Division in the operations of April 22nd-May.The diary opens at Lime on 15 September 1914. 1914 is the most travelled year, 82 places against 27 in the next busiest, and is spent at Vieux Berquin, Kemmel, Braine and St. Jans Cappelle. 1915 is spent at Vieux Berquin, Hervarre, Le Nieppe, Roquetoire and Wizernes. It closes at Hervarre on 31 December 1915. Vieux Berquin is where it spent longest, 116 days across ten separate stays, including a single unbroken stay of 31.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Red Chateau on Ypres-Menin road, Morbecque Chateau, Chateau N of H in Hollebeke and Chateau H of Hollebeke.In 1914 it is also recorded at Hartennes, Fleury, Verberie, Le Ployron, Berteaucourt, Fresnoy, Le Fresnoy, St Vast, Conteville and Bermicourt.
