Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps 20 Mobile Veterinary Section, Divisional Troops, 3rd Cavalry Division, covering March 1915 to February 1918 across 171 pages. It names 80 places across 110 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one casualty and personnel return, one report or narrative, four Operation Orders and twenty-five appendices. Among the papers are: Nominal Roll-No. 20 Mobile Vety Sec; Unit in order of March.The diary opens at Woolwich on 1 March 1915. 1915 is the most travelled year, 36 places against 28 in the next busiest, and is spent at Rimboval, La Carnois, Petigny, Renescure and Beaumetz Les Aire. 1916 is spent at Hesmond, Blingel, Bonnay, Brimeux and Rimboval. 1917 at Planques, Ham En Artois, Courcelles, Cucq and Thiennes. 1918 at Belloy Sur Somme, Meraucourt and Marcelcave. It closes at Meraucourt on 26 February 1918. Rimboval is where it spent longest, 211 days across three separate stays, including a single unbroken stay of 183 and it came back to La Carnois seven separate times.In 1915 it is also recorded at Southampton, S S Maidan, Havre, In Train Steenebecque, Ebblinghem, Surcus, Sec Bois, Wallon Cappel, Abeele and Blaringhem. In 1916 it is also recorded at Loison, Merlimont, Regniere Ecluse, St Ouen, Bailleul, Corbie, Pipierrea Gouy, Nevilly L'Hopital, Douriez and St. Riquier. In 1917 it is also recorded at Fressin, Frevent, Gouy en Artois, Remaisnil, Jumel, Vaulx, Frohen Le Grand, Talmas, Querrieu and Hamel.
