Instruction No. 10. instructions to the Lucknow Cavalry Brigade; March Table to Accompany order No. 3; Copy of Cavalry Corps order No. 24, dated 24th Novr. 1915; Relief Table; Warning Order..The diary opens at Moyenneville on 1 January 1917. 1917 is the most travelled year, 264 places against 49 in the next busiest, and is spent at Devise, Le Mesnil, Hamelet and Moyenneville. 1918 is spent at Devise, St. Sauflieu, Tel-El-Kebir, Loeuilly and Marcelcave. It closes at Aveluy on 30 April 1918. Devise is where it spent longest, 367 days across twenty-eight separate stays, including a single unbroken stay of 69 and it came back to Le Mesnil thirty-one separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Ruelles Wood, Trench Line Villers-Guislain, Quarry 11.a.3.3, Ronssoy Wood, Trenches A.1 Subsector, action by St. Leger Mill, Logeast Wood and By Vapencourt Chateau.In 1917 it is also recorded at Vaux-En Amienois, Chepy, Quesnoy Le Montant, Hymmeville, Chaussoy, Miannay, Daours, Citadel Near Fricourt, Hardecourt and 700x S.E of Morval.
