Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Royal Army Medical Corps 100 Field Ambulance, Divisional Troops, 2nd Division, covering November 1915 to June 1919 across 407 pages. It names 94 places across 165 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one casualty and personnel return, one daily state of sick and wounded, two reports, narratives and plans, one Operation Order and four appendices. Among the papers are: Wounded Admissions Evacuations This out April Daily for 24 Hours Ending 9 a.m; Return of Sick & wounded Admissions Evacuations Etc during month of August 1917; Notes on 2nd. Division Diet Records by Instruction in Catering First Army; Table to Accompany 2nd. Division R.A.M.C. order No. 83 of 4.10.17.The diary opens at Sliry Camp Salisbury on 16 November 1915. 1915 is spent at Fouquieres, Sternleeque, Busnes, Gonnehem and Sliry Camp Salisbury. 1916 at Acheux, Barlin, Estree Cauchie, Couin and Conteville. 1917 is the most travelled year, 66 places against 30 in the next busiest, and is spent at Locon, Aveluy, Roclincourt, Anzin and Rocourt. 1918 at Ransart, Lechelle, La Targette, Rebreuve and St Python. 1919 at Glessen and Sinners Dorf. It closes at Sinners Dorf on 22 June 1919. Glessen is where it spent longest, 111 days across four separate stays, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Conteville.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Chateau De Boismont, Dive Copse and Velu Wood.In 1915 it is also recorded at Southampton and Havre. In 1916 it is also recorded at Bethune, Bourecq, Bruay, Chateau De Boismont, Gauchin-Legal, Ourton, Dieval, Longeau, Morlancourt and Dive Copse. In 1917 it is also recorded at Le Meillard, Puchevillers, Pozieres, Vadencourt, Gezaincourt, Sericourt, Siracourt, Pernes, Bajus and Transfers. In 1918 it is also recorded at Louvencourt, Arqueves, B.29 Cont, Morchies, Beaumetz Lez-Cambrai, Novelles, Chatelet, Lager Elsenborn 1.F, Eicherscheid 10.H and Boich 7.J. In 1919 it is also recorded at Glessen To Sinner Dorf.
