It names 189 places across 260 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries nine casualty and personnel returns and two reports, narratives and plans. Among the papers are: Roll of officers; Roll of officers 1st June 915; From who Was instructions of B.Company 2nd Construction light Infantry; Narrative of operation September 2nd to 15th 1918.The diary opens at In Billets At Mennevret on 8 August 1914. 1914 is spent at Bailleul, La Cour De Soupir, In Billets At Mennevret, Woods Near Klein Zillebeke and Dhuizel. 1915 is the most travelled year, 103 places against 67 in the next busiest, and is spent at Bethune, Beuvry, Annezin, Into Trenches Near Festubert and In Trenches At Givenchy. 1916 at Fontaine-Sur-Maye, Mailly Maillet, Ville sur Ancre, Cottes and Gouy Servins. 1917 at Le Preol, Cambrin, Floringhem N Pernes, Ovillers and Albert. 1918 at Saulty, Metz-En-Couture, Humbercamp, Lesauich and Schnidt. 1919 at Stommeen.
