Bde. Order. No. 172; March Table issued in Conjunction the 12th Infantry Brigade order No. 173; Administrative Instruction No. 2; Amendment No. 1 to 12th Infantry Brigade order No. 174; 12th Infantry Brigade Administrative Instruction No. 1; Administrative instructions No. 3.The diary opens at Sheerness on 4 August 1914. 1914 is spent at Harrow, Sheerness, Cromer, Chatham and Norwich. 1915 at Ailly Le Haut Clocher, Ergnies and Le Haul Clocher. 1916 at Bertrancourt, Bailleulval, Berles Au Bois, Bouillancourt & Watteblery and Betrancourt. 1917 at Maizieres, Camp 124, Monchy-Breton, Arras and Blangy Park. 1918 at St Saulve, Busnettes, Berneville, Marquay and Left Sub-Sector Front Line. 1919 at Carnieres and St Saulve. It closes at Carnieres on 28 February 1919. Bertrancourt is where it spent longest, 68 days across four separate stays, including a single unbroken stay of 31 and it came back to Busnettes nine separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Support Trench, Trones Wood, Bourlon Wood, Front Trenches, Tilloy Wood, Stray Farm and Whistle Trench.In 1914 it is also recorded at Costessey Hall. In 1915 it is also recorded at Ergnies-Ailly and Le Haul Clocher Ally. In 1916 it is also recorded at Colincamps, Colii, Halloy, Bouquemaison, Occoches, Sus-St-Leger, Prouville, Yvrench, Beauval and Bois-Du-Warnimont. In 1917 it is also recorded at Camp 112, Bray, Reserve, Close Support, Front Line And Suzanne, Suzanne, Corbie, Coisy, Beauval and Mezerolles. In 1918 it is also recorded at Monchy Defences, Bois Des Boeufs, Arras, Brown Line, Nissen Hut Camp, Support, Stuart Camp, Haute Avesnes, Fosseux and Busnes.
