Sunday, 21st November 1915.The diary opens at Bordon on 4 May 1915. 1915 is spent at Hooggraafe, Locon, Busnes, Sailly La Bourse and Nieppe. 1916 is the most travelled year, 30 places against 17 in the next busiest, and is spent at Steenwerck, Camblain L'Abbe, Roellecourt, Merris and Duisans. 1917 at Etrun, Duisans, Hermaville, St Nicholas and Chelers. It closes at Hermaville on 29 April 1917. Steenwerck is where it spent longest, 106 days across four separate stays, it came back to Etrun five separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 47 days at Duisans.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Fricourt Farm.In 1915 it is also recorded at St Omer, Arques, Chau Le Nieppe, Philomel, Busnettes, Bethune, Hooggraafe-South of Poperinghe and Merris.
