Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Royal Army Medical Corps 33, 34 and 35 Field Ambulance, 21 Sanitary Section and 22 Mobile Veterinary Sections, Divisional Troops, 11th Division, covering April 1916 to July 1919 across 717 pages. It names 188 places across 337 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one diagram.The diary opens at Beauquesne on 1 April 1916. 1916 is spent at Longvillers, Rederie Farm, Maison Rolland and Wanquetin. 1917 is the most travelled year, 129 places against 90 in the next busiest, and is spent at Noeux-Les Mines, Labeuvriere, Bethune, Beauval and L'Ebbe Farm. 1918 at Ruitz, Bethune, Bracquencourt, Braquemont and Labourse. 1919 at Denain, Vicoigne, Deuam Deuam and Dunkirk. It closes at Dunkirk on 6 July 1919. Denain is where it spent longest, 254 days across eleven separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 120 days at Bracquencourt.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include L'Ebbe Farm, Rederie Farm, Cumont Farm, Clairfaye Farm, Minty Farm, Essex Farm, Gwent Farm and Essex Farm A.D.S.In 1916 it is also recorded at Lealvillers, Aveluy, Bapaume, Lebucquiere, Marseilles, El Ferdan, H.M.T Toronto, Flers, Maizieres and Agnez. In 1917 it is also recorded at Lancashire Dump, Val de Maison, Clairfaye, Puchevillers, Vacquerie, Raincheval, Bretel, Longvillers, Berneuil and Maison Rolland. In 1918 it is also recorded at Labeuvriere, Annezin, Hesdigneul, Betune, Fooquieres, Fouquieres, Drouvin, Civil & Military Hospital, Civil & Military Bethune and Bracquemont. In 1919 it is also recorded at Denain Nord and Lourches.
