It names 90 places across 118 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries four casualty and personnel returns, 132 reports, narratives and plans, 120 Operation Orders, eight maps and two diagrams. Further instructions; Narrative of attack; March Table to accompany 43rd Infantry Brigade operation order No. 102.The diary opens at Aldershot on 21 May 1915. 1915 is spent at Railway Wood, Ramparts Ypres, Watou, Scherpenberg and Zouave Wood. 1917 is the most travelled year, 50 places against 26 in the next busiest, and is spent at Bus-Les-Artois, Mont Noir, Arras, Cojeul Switch S.E. Of Telegraph Hill and Beaurains. 1918 at Clenleu, Lhipilly, Montescourt, Wambecourt and Ly Fontaine. It closes at Ouderdom on 18 August 1918. Bus-Les-Artois is where it spent longest, 26 days, it came back to Ramparts Ypres five separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 21 days at Clenleu.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Railway Wood, Zouave Wood, Pie Wood and Sanctuary Wood.In 1915 it is also recorded at Folkestone, Boulogne, Bvysschevre, Nordpeene, Eecke, Bailleul, Poperinghe, G.H.Q. Line, Dugouts and Camp W Of Vlamertinghe. In 1917 it is also recorded at Arras 51 b S.W. 3, Caves, Ronville, Montescourt, Beaufort, Warluzel, Saulty, Bailleuval, Telegraph Hill and Wancourt. In 1918 it is also recorded at Lhipilly Harbomeres, Herly, Gusscard, Havile Martel, Haute Tombelle, Havte Tombelle, Pie Wood, Jussy, Nampty and Thiennes.
