It names 67 places across 89 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries one casualty and personnel return, 62 reports, narratives and plans, 84 Operation Orders, two defence schemes and thirteen appendices. Among the papers are: Casualties 57th Brigade, 7th-10th June inclusive; Report on raid carried out; Lessons Learnt from the operations June 6th-10th 1917; 57th Infantry Brigade Intelligence Summary No. 1; Intelligence Summary 57th Infantry Brigade.; Order of Embarkation of the 19th Division.; Appendix 5 attachment of 57th Bde in Instruction with Meerut Division; 57th Infantry Brigade Relief Table; Alterations in March Table attached to 19th Division operation order No. 18 of 19th; Addendum to 19th Division order No 19; Relief Table; Plan "A" attack of the German 2nd Line by 2 Brigades in echelon with the left forward.The diary opens at Tidworth on 6 July 1915. 1915 is spent at Le Touret, Locon, Loisne, Estaires and Csedu Raux. 1916 is the most travelled year, 35 places against 22 in the next busiest, and is spent at Laventie, Gezaincourt Etc, Robecq, Dranoutre and Vignacourt. 1917 at Scherpenberg, Gezaincourt, Courcelles, Louvencourt etc and Westbecourt Training. It closes at Mont Noir on 24 June 1917. Laventie is where it spent longest, 39 days across four separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Gezaincourt Etc.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Bois Garre Dugouts, Usna Redoubt, Mametz Wood, Becourt Wood and Bois Carre Dugouts.In 1915 it is also recorded at Boulogne, Bayenghem, Renescure, St Venant, Merville, Les Lobes, Le Plantin, Le Hamel, Lacouture and Vielle Chapelle. In 1916 it is also recorded at Huit Maisons, La Gorgue, Mametz, St Riquier, Intermediate Line, Usna Redoubt, Albert, Millencourt, Becourt and Mouflers. In 1917 it is also recorded at Gezaincourt Etc, Bouquemaison etc, Croix etc, Pernes, St Hilaire etc, Thiennes Etc, Merris Etc, Bailleul Etc, Caestre etc and Hazebrouck etc.
