Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the 126 Field Company Royal Engineers, Divisional Troops, 21st Division, covering September 1915 to April 1919 across 156 pages. It names 82 places across 99 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries three Operation Orders and one diagram.The diary opens at Milford on 11 September 1915. 1915 is spent at Armentieres, Amentieres, Fletre, Bertham and Lespresses. 1916 at Armentieres front now extended to L'epinette, Beuvry, Sars-Lez-Bois and Ville. 1917 at St Leger, Scottish Wood, Fouquereuil, Millekruis and Boisleux Au Mont. 1918 is the most travelled year, 40 places against 18 in the next busiest, and is spent at Fluy, Guyencourt, Beauquesne, Beaussart and Manancourt. 1919 at Fluy, Oissy, Le Catelet, Le Havre and Longpre. It closes at Le Havre on 22 April 1919. Fluy is where it spent longest, 96 days, including a single unbroken stay of 60 and it came back to Armentieres four separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Scottish Wood, Buire Wood and R.E. Farm.In 1915 it is also recorded at S'Hampton, Havre, Audruicq, Arques, Lambres, Aduchin, Mazingarbe, Auchy-Au-Bois, Bosseghem and Bailleul. In 1916 it is also recorded at Armentieres, Picquiny, Fourdrinoy, Meaulte, Allonville, Longueval, Ribemont, Yaucourt, Burbure and Noyelles. In 1917 it is also recorded at Rietveld, Berles Au Bois, Adinfer, Hamelincourt, Bienvillers, Simencourt, Acq and Right Of. In 1918 it is also recorded at Moislains, Buire Wood, Haut Allaisnes, Clery, Curlu, Suzanne Bray, Basieux, Behencourt, Cardonette and Hangest.
