September 23rd 1917..The diary opens at Tilques Nord 3 Miles from St Omer on 1 September 1915. 1915 is spent at Croix Du Bac, Merris, Tilques and March. 1916 is the most travelled year, 33 places against 23 in the next busiest, and is spent at Busseboom, Barlin, Croix Du Bac, Bruay and Albert. 1917 at Busseboom, Meteren, Zevecoten, Esquelbecq and St. Omer. It closes at Wizernes on 31 October 1917. Busseboom is where it spent longest, 202 days across nine separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Croix Du Bac.In 1916 it is also recorded at Estaire, Blaringhem, Bruay-Pas De Calais, Maisnil Bouche, Vaux En Amienois, Vavx, Baizieux, Dernancourt, St. Gratien and Henencourt.
