Companies; Programme of Reliefs R.E. 24th Division operation order No. 70.The diary opens at Black Down on 25 August 1915. 1915 is spent at Salperwick, Reninghelst, Offin, Black Down and Sailly-La-Bourse. 1916 at Braquemont, Bailleul, Reninghelst, Camblain L'Abbe and St Jans Cappel. 1917 at Barlin, Labeuvriere, La Thieuloye and Sains En Gohelle. 1918 at Sains En Gohelle, Meraucourt, Cambrai, Bouvincourt and St. Valery. 1919 at Sin and Tournai. It closes at Sin on 25 June 1919. Sains En Gohelle is where it spent longest, 164 days across five separate stays, it came back to Reninghelst six separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 104 days at Braquemont.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Cantaing Mill and Nine Wood.In 1915 it is also recorded at Havre, Montreuil, Bomy, Busnes, Bethune, Vermelles, St. Hilaire, Steenvoorde, Broxeele and Elverdinghe.
