Stone 17th Infantry Brigade; Brigade Routine orders 17th Infantry Brigade; Heavy Artillery S.O.S. orders Are.The diary opens at Small Foot Wood on 1 October 1917. 1917 is spent at Small Foot Wood, Bernes and Haute Wood. 1918 at Maroc, Camphin, Vraignes, Small Foot Wood and Haut Wood. 1919 at Camphin, Baisieux and Tournai. It closes at Baisieux on 29 May 1919. Maroc is where it spent longest, 130 days across five separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Small Foot Wood.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Small Foot Wood, Haut Wood and Haute Wood.In 1918 it is also recorded at H. Bernes, Bernes, Hervilly, Montecourt, Cayeux, Orlencourt, Houdain. Les Brebis, Les Brebis, Le Souich and Graincourt.
