It names 43 places across 74 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries seven reports, narratives and plans, two Operation Orders, four appendices and twenty-three diagrams. Among the papers are: Brief report on Communications during operation on July 1st 1916.; Report on Communications during operations May 3rd. Divisional; Communications for "Borderland" Divisional. Appendix a; 93rd Infantry Brigade Communications for the attack on Ankle Farm 27.6.18. Appendix a; Notes on Communication during Borderland Operations. Appendix a; Notes on Communications of 31 Bn Machine Gun Corps during Borderland Operations. Appendix.The diary opens at Bus-Les Artois on 1 April 1916. 1916 is spent at Lestrem, Authie, Bus-Les Artois, Couin and Locon. 1917 at Fort George, Villers Chatel, A.2.9.A.3.4. Nr. Roclincourt and Bernaville. 1918 at Wallon Cappel, Blendecques, Hondeghem, Wardrecques and Villers Chatel. 1919 at Blendecques, Calais and Bailleul. It closes at Blendecques on 26 February 1919. Wallon Cappel is where it spent longest, 71 days, including a single unbroken stay of 62 and it came back to Villers Chatel seven separate times.In 1916 it is also recorded at Bus, Ribeaucourt, St. Venant and Marieux. In 1917 it is also recorded at Beauval, Authie, Couin, Bouquemaison, Ramecourt, Pernes, Norrent Fontes, St. Venant, Bruay and Ourton. In 1918 it is also recorded at Basseux, Ayette, Humber Camps, Lucheux, Vieux Berquin, La Motte, Le Gd Hasard, Ebblinghem, Courtrai and Ruyen Renaix.
