It names 35 places across 47 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries thirteen reports, narratives and plans, twenty-four Operation Orders, one defence scheme, one appendix and two maps. Among the papers are: Narrative of the operations carried out by the 36th Divisional Artillery for the period; Programme of raid to be carried out on W/X night. Point of raid R.19.c. 1055.; Instructions for Artillery during Gas Discharge and raid; Amendment to 36th Divisional Artillery order No. 1; 36th Divisional Artillery. Table of Reliefs, 30/31 July; Relief of the 3rd Canadian Divisional Artillery. Appendix (1); Relief of simpson group by 16th Div. Artillery. Appendix (iv); Copy of 36th Divisional Artillery Order, issued on 24th March; Mr Cordery.The diary opens on 3 June 1916. 1916 is spent at Kemmel. 1917 at Ytres, Z Day, Sorel Le Grand and Little Wood R.E. Camp Ytres. 1918 is the most travelled year, 26 places against 8 in the next busiest, and is spent at Ollezy, Terdeghem, Dragon Camp, Belleghem and Couthove Chateau. 1919 at Mouscron. It closes at Mouscron on 28 February 1919. Mouscron is where it spent longest, 93 days across four separate stays, it came back to Ytres five separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 49 days at Terdeghem.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Couthove Chateau, Ytres Wood, Little Wood Ytres and Ashmore Farm.In 1917 it is also recorded at Y Day, Ytres Wood and Little Wood Ytres. In 1918 it is also recorded at Treux, Corbie, Quesnel, Roye, Nesle, Etouy, Morvillers, Moyencourt Sous Poix, Pont du Metz and Monastery Mont Des Cats.
