Full colour facsimile reprint of the original First World War, War Office war diary of the Divisional Ammunition Column, Divisional Troops, 36th Division, covering September 1915 to February 1919 across 100 pages. It names 77 places across 96 dated entries.The diary opens at Greenham Common Newbury on 21 September 1915. 1915 is spent at Le Toile, Bordon, Bernaville, Havre and Canaples. 1916 at E. of Bailleul, Puchevillers, St Ouen, Arqueves and Varennes. 1917 at N.E. Of Bailleul, Equancourt, N.E. Bailleul, Ruyaulcourt and W. Of Poperinghe. 1918 is the most travelled year, 41 places against 18 in the next busiest, and is spent at Tourcoing, St Simon, Eecke, Hamhoek and Pontypool Camp. It closes at Tourcoing on 28 February 1919. E. of Bailleul is where it spent longest, 192 days, including a single unbroken stay of 192 and it came back to Bordon four separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Hedauville Wood and Fretoy Le Chateau.In 1915 it is also recorded at Basingstoke, Southampton, Longeau, Breilly Sur Somme, Fransu and Villers Sous Ailly. In 1916 it is also recorded at Canaples Halloy, La Vicogne, Belle Eglise, Hedauville, Line Of March and Tournehem. In 1917 it is also recorded at Dranoutre, E of Poperinghe, East of Vlamentinghe, Le Mesnil, Barastre, Haplincourt, Ytres and Beaulencourt. In 1918 it is also recorded at Vaire, Hangest, Dury, Somette Eaucourt, Verlaines, Fretoy Le Chateau, Avricourt, Fresnieres, Orvillers and Mery.
