It names 42 places across 47 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries 326 reports, narratives and plans, one Operation Order, seven maps and one diagram. Among the papers are: Narrative of operations to 30th April (inclusive); 109th Infy Brigade Intelligence Summary for Period from Noon 10th to Noon 11th August; 109th Infantry Brigade. Intelligence Summary for period from 2 p.m. 29th to 8 a.m. 30th; No. 3 109th Infantry Brigade. Intelligence Summary for period from 8 a.m. 31st Aug-8 a.m; No. 31 109th Infy. Brigade Intelligence Summary for period from 8 a.m. 28th-8 a.m. 29th numbered 6 to 44 (22 of them); Patrol report; 109th Inf. Brigade Intelligence Summary for period from 8 a.m. 22nd-8 a.m. 23rd Septr 1917.The diary opens at Bouvelinghem on 7 July 1917. 1917 is spent at Bertincourt, Bouvelinghem, Winnezeele, Vlamertinghe and Wieltje. 1918 is the most travelled year, 33 places against 13 in the next busiest, and is spent at Roncq, Ste Anne, Doury, Mont De Cats and Crucifix Corner. It closes at Roncq on 28 February 1919. Roncq is where it spent longest, 106 days, including a single unbroken stay of 106 and it came back to Vlamertinghe three separate times.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Budget Copse 27R24 c, Chateau at St Anne and Budget Copse.In 1917 it is also recorded at Winzeele, Watou, Hondeghem and Arques. In 1918 it is also recorded at Moreuil, Beaucourt, Nesle, Artemps, Dury, Hamel Lock, Line Hamel Lock, Tulley, Dirty Buckt Camp and Alberta.
