Area for tonight firing July 9/10th Appendix (3); Operation order Appendix (4); Table "B" Barrages; Barrage "E"; 38th Divisional Artillery Draft operation orders; A raid will take place on the Enemy's trenches on the night of through the gap existing; Raid "B" Amendments; A raid will take place at C.13.b.9.7 on the night of the 13th-14th Oct; Amendment to Artillery raid Programme.The diary opens at Sailly-Au-Bois on 3 August 1916. 1916 is spent at Brielen, Fired, Ypres, Elverdinghe and Proven. 1917 at Trois Tours, Armentieres, Brielen, Wissant and Elverdinghe. 1918 is the most travelled year, 38 places against 18 in the next busiest, and is spent at Aulnoye, Harponville, Armentieres, Englebelmer and Fins. 1919 at Pont Noyelles and Glisy. It closes at Glisy on 1 April 1919. Brielen is where it spent longest, 105 days across six separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 79 days at Pont Noyelles.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Elverdinghe Chateau, Paul Jacques Farm, Mouchoir Copse, Trois. Tours Chateau and Mortho Wood.In 1916 it is also recorded at Authie, Hem-, Zeggers Cappel, La Brique, Poperinghe and Watou. In 1917 it is also recorded at Trois. Tours Chateau, Elverdinghe Chateau, Hamhoek and Left Group 38 DA AD 308. In 1918 it is also recorded at Haverskerque, Near Armentieres, Erquinghem, Steenwercke, La Creche, Bailleul, S. Jans. Cappel, Berthen, Abeele Hamhoek and Reninghelst.
