Appx 28; To Accompany 38th Divisional Artillery order No. 46 Appendix "A".The diary opens at Hazeley Down Winchester on 19 December 1915. 1915 is spent at Hazeley Down Winchester, Haverskerque and Havre. 1916 at Peselhoek, Robermetz De Merville, Mt. Bernenchon, Paradis and Herzeele. 1917 at Peselhoek, Estaires, Coppernolle, Steenbecque and Herzeele. 1918 is the most travelled year, 35 places against 21 in the next busiest, and is spent at Raincheval, Steenwerk, Vallulart Wood, Haverskerque and Gezaincourt. 1919 at Glisy, Montigny and Albert. It closes at Glisy on 27 May 1919. Peselhoek is where it spent longest, 212 days across four separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 128 days at Estaires.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Vallulart Wood, Trones Wood, Mametz Wood, Dessart Wood and Ossus Wood.In 1916 it is also recorded at Pont Riquel, Thiennes, Auchel, St. Michel, Boisbergues, Mirvaux, Toutencourt, Treux, Meaulte and St. Leger. In 1917 it is also recorded at Steenvoorde and La Cunewele. In 1918 it is also recorded at Neuf Berquin, La Motte, Gd Sec Bois, Borre, Morbecque, Bois des Huit Rues, St Jan Ter Biezen, Hedauville, Albert and Contalmaison.
