Para. 9; Preliminary instructions for the Artillery defence of the 39th Division Front; Report of Hostile Artillery Fire; Report of Hostile Artillery.The diary opens at Milford on 2 March 1916. 1916 is spent at Locon, Esquelbecq, Acheux, Lynde and Robecq. It closes at St. Sixte on 26 December 1916. Locon is where it spent longest, 130 days across ten separate stays and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 69 days at Esquelbecq.In 1916 it is also recorded at Le Havre, Abbeville, Lacon, Bethune, St Michel, Thievres, Hedauville and Camp Bouzincourt.
