It names 66 places across 101 dated entries.Alongside the daily entries the volume carries ten lists of honours and awards, fourteen casualty and personnel returns, 67 reports, narratives and plans, 47 Operation Orders, one appendix, five maps and three diagrams. Arty 94th Infy Bde. raid night 9/10-12th Y. & L; 31st Div art instructions; H.Q 31 D.A report of raid night 6/7 Nov.The diary opens at Kantara on 28 February 1916. 1916 is spent at Hebuterne, Mailly, Givenchy, Bailleul Bellafontane Chateau Coquerelle and Neuve Chapelle. 1917 at Fresnoy, Bailleul Willerval, Acheville Mericourt Sector and Willerval Bailleul. 1918 at Wizernes. 1919 at Wizernes and Dunkirk. It closes at Dunkirk on 17 May 1919. Wizernes is where it spent longest, 132 days across six separate stays, it came back to Hebuterne seven separate times, and the longest it stayed anywhere without moving was 31 days at Mailly.Trench and battlefield features named in the diary include Bailleul Bellafontane Chateau Coquerelle.In 1916 it is also recorded at Abbeville, Bailleul, The Road, Orville, B.H.Q. Mailly Guns Sucrerie Waggon Lines Bus, Battle Positions Mailly Bus, Sucrerie Bus, Le Meillard, Haverskerque and LQ-Couture Croix-Barbee Vieille-Chapelle. In 1917 it is also recorded at The Road, Outrebois, Autretions, St Omer, Beauval, Thiepval, 170th Brigade R.F.A, Senlis, Hebuterne Plain Couin and Hebuterne Couin Wagon Lines.
